(BEACON, NY) – On Sunday August 11, Hudson Rising in concert with the Beacon Sloop Club and Sloop Clearwater, will celebrate the revitalization of Beacon’s waterfront with heritage ships, a farm feast, adventure village, sustainable living exhibits, and music.
Heritage Ships
Step aboard America’s Environmental Flagship Sloop Clearwater for deck tours and boat rides. Board the historic covered barge, Pennsy # 399, for fun environmental programs, films, and more. The Sloop Clearwater boat ride is first come first serve and free. Times are:

Public Sail: 11:00-1:00
Deck Tours: 1:30-3:30

The historic covered barge, Pennsy 399, is open free to the public to board anytime between 11-6.
Farm Feast
Enjoy New York State beer including Newburgh Brewing, Sloop Brewing from Putnam County and Cider from Naked Flock in Warwick, NY, and Finger Lakes wine. Snacks include NYS cheese and pretzels. $20 Taste Ticket to sample from any 6 food and drink vendors.
Adventure Village

Newburgh Brewing After Party – 8:30PM
Join us at Newburgh Brewing, 88 South Colden Street, Newburgh, New York, 12550, for a sneak preview of the Hudson Rising documentary, commissioned by OurHudson and a talk by the Director. Soon to be released, the documentary will explore the challenges and opportunities in the Hudson River Valley as more cities chart a sustainable future. Or come early to catch "The World According to Monsanto" at 6:30. The bar will be open during the after party, showcasing Newburgh's brews, local Hudson Valley wine, and Naked Flock cider. Food will be available for sale from Black Forest Flammkuchen (http://blackforestflammkuchen.com), a food truck serving Flamm's made with local ingredients.
